JASMINE ROSSI is of German and Italian origin and holds a Master in Politics and Economy awarded by the London School of Economics. While taking a sabbatical year from her job at the European Parliament, she came up with the idea of traveling through Patagonia. Impressed by the beauty and magic of this remote land, Jasmine decided to share her experience with the rest of the world. A selfmade photographer, she moved to Peninsula Valdés, where she lived for two years in a lonely cottage atop a huge cliff overlooking the Southern Atlantic Ocean. Jasmine set forth her experiences in her first book of photographs La Patagonia sobre el mar . Her next aim was to portray the whole of Patagonia, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from turbulent Cape Horn to the snow-white volcanoes at the north of this region. She sailed the Chilean fiords and spent several months circumnavigating the island of Tierra del Fuego, the Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel. Jasmine tirelessly horse rode and drove 16,000 kilometers traversing the Patagonian heartland until she had visited every valley, fiord, river, lake and mountain. In this way, she managed to capture the images shown in her following book published by Ediciones Lariviere, El Alma de la Patagonia (The Patagonian Soul).

JORGE MIGLIOLI is an agricultural engineer and a photographer. He presented and published his works in several opportunities and has collaborated with two other Patagonian artists in the book Santa Cruz, Patagonia Argentina (Grupo Abierto Comunicaciones, 1999), contributing with pictures he collected along five years as manager of a great estancia by Lago Argentino. In this magnificent place, Jorge used his camera as a permanent companion during his daily routine, always at hand on the seat of his pick-up, hanged by the bandoleer from his shoulder during his horse riding round or even hung in dusty pens from a nail on a post. In this way, he managed to gather a set of unique photographs which show the life and landscapes of rural Patagonia from within; some of these pictures are included in this collection. Since 1999, Jorge lives in Esquel (Chubut), where he has produced a new set of pictures that show the famous little steam train of the South, published in the book La Trochita - Un Viaje en el Tiempo y la Distancia en el Viejo Expreso Patagónico (La Trochita – A Trip through Time and Distance in the Old Patagonian Express) (Grupo Abierto Comunicaciones, 2001). Among his present projects, Jorge wishes to capture landscapes and characters for a new book, the purpose of which will be to describe the route the Welsh immigrants shaped in Patagonia.

ALBERTO GANDSAS began to travel through the southern part of Argentina in 1993, particularly through Patagonia. An enthusiast of the panoramic photography, in every trip he made he took his inseparable cameras with him, giving birth right from the start to the Serie de Fotografías Panorámicas de la Patagonia (Collection of Panoramic Photographs of Patagonia).
When getting in touch with nature, with all the splendor of each area, Alberto began to absorb the marvelous Patagonian landscape. Traveling huge distances, at times he was completely alone.
Just him and nature. It was at this moment that he made a halt in order to capture the place’s enchantment and have it embedded in his camera’s film rolls. On his way, lakes, rivers, valleys and mountains appear once and again. Winding roads, rubbly, sinuous or of a never ending straight line… "I travel amidst a scenery and I feel part of all that surrounds me..."
His panoramic photographs were awarded 4th. Prize at the Biennale Dell Arte Contemporaneo 2001 in Florence, Italy.
Moreover, they have been successfully presented at Expo Arte MAC21 in Marbella, Spain and at the Argentine Consulate of New York, USA.
In his book PATAGONIA "Un viaje fotográfico al Sur Argentino a través de la Fotografía Panorámica” (PATAGONIA “A photographic trip to Southern Argentina through Panoramic Photography), published by Grupo Abierto Comunicaciones in the panoramic format, we may appreciate part of his ample photographic work.
